Job summary

Arriva London is looking for qualified PCV Bus Drivers to join our London garages. You will drive buses across London, delivering safe, reliable transport while delivering excellent customer service.

The role involves rotating shifts and adherence to schedules. Successful candidates will have a PCV licence, be 18 or older, and pass drug/alcohol tests; a London licence if previously employed by another London operator is required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Licence for London if you have worked for another London operator within the past 6 months.
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Pay & Overtime

If you’ve held a PCV licence and worked in the role for 12+ months within the last 4 years, you’ll start on the 12–24-month rate.

Sign-on to sign-off pay structure

Overtime paid for:

• Hours worked after 9pm
• Any time worked over your contracted hours

Working Patterns

5 days on / 2 days off per week on a rotating shift pattern.

Shifts planned 6–8 weeks in advance

Typical start times:

• Mornings from 04:00
• Afternoons from 12:00
• Evenings from 18:00

Fixed shift patterns (e.g., only mornings or only evenings) are not available
