TPF Recruitment is proud to be representing a well-established and fast-growing, equity-backed firm of Chartered Accountants based in the Eastbourne area. Our client is seeking a Senior Auditor / Assistant Manager to join their dynamic audit team and play a pivotal role in servicing a varied and expanding client portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious ACA or ACCA-qualified professional with solid post-qualification experience in audit, looking to progress their career within a forward-thinking and supportive firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution: Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and firm procedures.

Client Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients during assignments, developing strong professional relationships and providing clear, actionable insights.

Team Supervision: Supervise, mentor and support junior staff, reviewing their work and assisting in their professional development.

Risk Assessment: Identify audit risks and areas for improvement within client systems and controls, and report findings effectively.

Technical Expertise: Provide sound technical advice and support across accounting and audit issues, staying up to date with industry changes.

File Review & Quality Control: Conduct file reviews, ensure quality control and adherenceto deadlines and budgets.

Communication & Reporting: Prepare reports to senior managers and partners; present audit findings and recommendations to clients.

Practice Development: Contribute to business development initiatives, networking, and supporting the firm’s growth strategy.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

ACA or ACCA qualified (essential)

Strong post-qualification experience in an audit-focused role within a UK accountancy practice

Proven ability to lead audit assignments and supervise junior staff

Excellent technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards

Strong communicationskills with a client-centric approach

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Ambition to progress within a growing firm
