We are recruiting for Qualified Ambulance Technicians and Paramedics in Grampian. There are vacancies in the following ambulance station locations: Aberdeen, Ballater, Fraserburgh, Inverurie, Peterhead, and Stonehaven.
The Role
Qualified Ambulance Technicians and Paramedics provide immediate care across Scotland, often to vulnerable individuals in challenging environments. You should demonstrate compassion, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure, make good decisions, and take control.
The starting salary for Qualified Ambulance Technicians is £31,892 per year, rising to £39,735. The starting salary for a Qualified Ambulance Paramedic is £39,912, rising to £48,635.
Your pay scale will depend on previous NHS experience. Vacancies are on a 24-hour shift basis, referred to as “relief,” requiring flexibility to work various shifts and stations.
Training
Training can be condensed into a course as short as 1 week, including a Clinical Induction Module delivered by the Education and Professional Development Department.

The Person
You should have excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to make safe decisions. Previous experience as an Ambulance Technician or Paramedic is essential. We encourage applications from ethnic minorities and individuals with disabilities.
Applicants must hold a C1 driving licence with no more than 4 penalty points. A CERAD or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Minimum requirements include proof of Ambulance Technician or Paramedic qualification and registration with HCPC, and successful completion of selection processes: application review, fitness test, interview, health screening, and PVG scheme clearance.
