Our client is seeking a dynamic QSHE Manager to lead their Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental initiatives in a permanent role. As a critical leadership position, you will be responsible for the strategic development and operational execution of our site's QSHE frameworks. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, ISO standards, and Group policies.

Our client is a reputable manufacturing company, industry leader in Devon, supporting products from design to production. Based at the Exeter site, you will be part of a small, friendly team integral to their success.

Responsibilities
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) to achieve best practices in Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Hygiene
  • Manage the H&S framework, promote safety campaigns, and ensure safe work practices
  • Plan and manage H&S training, including designing and maintaining a training matrix
  • Address QSHE points relevant to departments and ensure legal and company compliance
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits
  • Develop and implement an annual QSHE plan aligning with company objectives
  • Coordinate emergency plans, fire drills, and safety signage
  • Participate in safety committees and audits
  • Manage customer complaints and ensure ISO standards are met
  • Oversee contractor management and audit documentation
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications such as IOSH, preferably NEBOSH
  • Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety Law, ISO standards, and legal compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing ISO accreditations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Attention to detail and strong business acumen
