Job description

Job Title: QSHE Manager

Location:East Lothian
Reports to:Managing Director

Role Purpose

The QSHE Manager is responsible for ensuring company-wide compliance with key quality, health & safety, and environmental standards - including AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485, and ISO14001. This role oversees quality systems across all operational facilities, and serves as the primary liaison for Quality Managers and Quality Assurance Supervisors. Working closely with divisional directors and general managers, the QSHE Manager leads all audit and inspection activities and drives continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with:
  • ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001
  • Deliver training on new or updated procedures as needed
  • Oversee Q-Pulse administration and document control
  • Manage internal and external audit programs, including coordination with notified bodies
  • Lead the calibration process and ensure equipment compliance
  • Maintain and update customer and approved supplier databases
  • Ensure all regulatory affairs align with current legislation
  • Define and monitor quality standards across the organization
  • Prepare and present reports with relevant data and insights to senior management
  • Stay informed on legislative changes and communicate impacts to leadership
  • Organize and lead Management Review meetings
  • Implement and track divisional and company-wide KPIs

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven background in Quality and Regulatory environments
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO and AS standards
  • Experience with Q-Pulse and MRP systems preferred
