Job summary

Upfront Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator in Pembrokeshire. The role blends estimating with quantity surveying across a mix of civil engineering, industrial, oil & gas and renewable energy projects. You will review drawings, prepare estimates, and handle take-offs, with involvement on-site and in the office.

The position supports career development, with opportunities for junior or developing QS/Estimator professionals to take on responsibility as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Some previous exposure to quantity surveying, estimating or the commercial side of construction is important.
• Basic understanding of construction costs and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications, prepare estimates and tenders, complete material and labour take-offs.
• Obtain prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Live projects: site measures, valuations, applications for payment, variations, cost monitoring, subcontract accounts and final accounts.
• Office and site-based work to understand projects beyond spreadsheets.
