Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work within the existing adminteam, based at one of our sites, though on occasion you may be asked to workfrom our other site offering support, advice and guidance to our registeredpopulation of 35,000 patients. This particular job role will involve contacting patients and inviting them for their annual chronic disease reviews and any other reviews deemed necessary under the new guidance of the 2025 GP quality contract. The main focus is patient care and helping todeliver services and support in a professional, smooth and efficient way. Youwill need to demonstrate your ability to work within a team and possess thecorrect attributes that show compassion, empathy, understanding andprofessionalism.

Job Summary:

  • Provide general administration tothe practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patientsand other visitors, either in person or via the telephone at all times
  • Undertake a variety ofadministrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice
  • Contacting patients for their annual chronic disease reviews and any other appointments deemed necessary under the new 2025 GP Quality Contract.

Experience
  • Experience of working directly with members of the public in a busy office environment
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience of an administration role
  • Experience of working directly with members of the public in general practice or other NHS environment
Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE as a minimum with grade A-C in English and Maths
  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with people in person and on the telephone

  • Experience of using a GP clinical computerised system
