Job summary

AESC UK in Sunderland is seeking a Quality Technician to join the QMS team. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, conducting audits, and supporting CAPA and documentation activities within the Quality department.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in a similar role, with knowledge of ISO9001/IATF16949/VDA and core tools. Experience with measurement methods and MS Office is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF16949, VDA.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC/MSA.
• Experience in documentation control.
• Auditing experience preferred (System / Process / Product).
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of measurement equipment and methods.
• Experience of data analysis and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Internal Product and Process audits as scheduled.
• Support Internal system audits.
• Address NC corrective actions from QMS audits.
• Manage CAPA administration and tracking.
• Administer Document Management System (SharePoint/EPF/BPM).
• Analyse QMS KPI and cost of quality data and report findings.
• Assist with customer visits and related activities.
• Perform other tasks aligned with Quality Systems Management.

AESC is a global leader in battery technology, operating one of the UK's most advanced EV battery manufacturing facilities in Sunderland. The site plays a key role in supporting sustainable energy and electric vehicle production, with major expansion plans underway to create one of Europe's largest gigafactories. We are looking for a Quality Technician to work as part of the QMS team based within the Quality department. The roles are to ensure the QMS operates correctly and efficiently including maintaining, monitoring, reporting and improving the Quality Management System along with any other tasks requested by the Quality Management team.

Outline and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the QMS Manager - Andrea Hewison, the QMS Technicians activities will include:-

• Conduct Internal Product and Process audits - prepared, audited and reported to schedule.
• Support Internal system audits.
• NC corrective actions resulting from QMS audits (System, Process, Product) are progressed, monitored and closed.
• CAPA (corrective action and preventive action) administration, progressed, monitored and closed.
• Administration of DMS (Document Management system such as Sharepoint/EPF/BPM).
• QMS KPI and Cost of Quality Data analysis and reporting.
• Supporting customer visits and activity as required
• Other activities aligned to Quality Systems Management and reporting.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Knowledge of International Standards such as ISO9001/IATF16949/VDA.
• Knowledge of Core Tools (such as APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC/MSA).
• Experience of control of documentation and administration.
• Experience of conducting or supporting audits preferred (System / Process / Product).
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of measurement equipment and methods.
• Experience of data analysis and reporting.
• Microsoft office (Excel / Word / Visio / PowerPoint etc.) skills.
