Qliksense Developer

Certain Advantage is hiring for a Qliksense Developer based in London.

This role is on an initial contract until the end of the year and is office-based.

The role:

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you are a subject matter expert who designs and builds analytics solutions and mentors junior engineers. You will be the key person to convert the vision and data and analytics strategies into IT solutions and deliver them.

• Design, build, and implement POCs, prototypes, and full-fledged UX solutions and strategies.
• Communicate with key stakeholders to clarify requirements and promote UX designs and solutions.
• Possess expert knowledge in QlikSense & Qlik Cloud Analytics to deliver complex, fast-moving datasets to high-value trading teams.
• Support design by analyzing user journeys and driving towards simplification and automation.
• Enable high-quality storytelling through creation of strong, simple-to-understand data visualizations.
• Document technical solution design and strategy documentation.
• Run quality assessments of counterparts’ designs.
• Adhere to the organization’s release and change processes.

The individual:

• Expert knowledge of authoring and troubleshooting SQL/Azure/Databricks queries.
• Expertise in connectivity, data modeling, source data procurement strategies, security configuration, performance tuning, visualization, scripting, and integrating advanced analytics.
• Knowledge of upcoming trends in tools and technology.
• Knowledge of gas/power trading, including short-term trading and physical assets trading (CCGT, Wind, Solar, Battery).
• Understanding of risk modeling and risk management.
• Experience with commodity modeling in energy sectors and meteorology.
• Proficiency in at least one secondary visualization tool such as Power BI with Azure Analysis Services, Spotfire, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
