Job summary

A leading chemical manufacturing business in Newmarket is seeking a QHSE Specialist. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Health & Safety or Quality within pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Experience conducting audits (internal and external).
  • Familiarity with hazardous environments.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client is a leading chemical manufacturing business based in Newmarket, currently seeking a QHSE Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an innovative company producing specialised chemicals for use in the pharmaceutical, electronics, and other high-precision industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, maintenance, and management of QHSE documentation, audits, investigations, and compliance activities.

  • Maintain and update company records, including environmental documentation, specifications, and regulatory compliance records.

  • Assist with contractor documentation, change control processes, and non-conformance investigations.

  • Liaise with employees, auditors, suppliers, and clients to ensure ongoing adherence to QHSE standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Health & Safety or Quality within pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing, including non-conformance investigations and handling customer complaints (essential).

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ISO 9001 compliance (essential).

  • Experience conducting both internal and external audits (essential).

  • Familiarity with working in environments where hazardous chemicals are handled (essential).

  • Full UK driving licence.
