Job summary

Verto People is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager for an 18-month fixed-term contract to lead and continually improve QHSE systems in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with ISO standards, conducting audits, and driving corrective actions across operations in Bristol area.

• Experience with QHSE systems and ISO standards in manufacturing
• Auditing and certification activities experience beneficial
• Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of QHSE policies, procedures, management systems and company standards, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, customer and internal requirements.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including document control, audits, certification activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct and support internal, external, customer and regulatory audits, maintaining accurate records of findings, actions and improvements.
• Manage and maintain QHSE documentation, including procedures, inspection records, training records, NCRs, corrective/preventive actions and compliance documentation.
• Support quality investigations, root cause analysis, customer complaints, defects and non-conformance processes to drive corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
• Support health & safety activities including workplace inspections, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, method statements, incident investigations and hazard control measures.
• Assist with environmental and sustainability activities, including waste management, pollution prevention, environmental inspections, ESG initiatives and performance improvements.
• Maintain QHSE performance data, KPIs and management reporting, while working closely with operations, engineering, production and procurement teams to drive quality and continuous improvement.
