Job summary

Labman Automation in North Yorkshire seeks an experienced QHSE Manager to lead Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental activities across Labman. You will be visible across engineering, manufacturing and offices, translating UK legislation into practical working practices and driving continual improvement of the QMS.

You will oversee ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 27001, manage audits and investigations, and support environmental sustainability priorities while coaching managers to build H&S

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or higher.
• Extensive H&S or QHSE experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and how to apply it in practice.
• Experience carrying out risk assessments, inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Experience developing and improving H&S policies, procedures and workplace controls.
• Experience leading and developing a team, setting priorities and supporting others to take ownership.
• Experience maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001.
• Auditing, non-conformances and corrective actions management experience.
• Experience with ISO 13485 and/or ISO 27001.
• Environmental compliance, ESG or carbon reporting experience.
• Delivery of H&S training and toolbox talks.

Responsibilities

• Lead Health & Safety across Labman with practical arrangements.
• Provide competent H&S advice and translate UK legislation into sensible working practices.
• Identify and manage workplace risks through risk assessments, inspections and controls.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses with root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations on equipment, contractors and activities.
• Develop and lead the Quality team and continually improve the QMS.
• Oversee ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 27001 and drive improvements.
• Use audits, non-conformances and feedback to drive measurable improvements.
• Support ESG, environmental reporting and risk management.
• Coach managers to build H&S knowledge and accountability.
