QHSE Manager - Quality, H&S & Manufacturing Engineer
Lincoln, Full Time (Early Finish on a Friday), Permanent
Circa £35,000 DOE

Based in Lincoln but servicing customers worldwide, our Client has built a reputation for fast and effective service whilst maintaining a friendly and approachable team. Working in the contract manufacturing sector, a multiskilled opportunity has arisen covering all aspects of Quality Engineering, Health and Safety Management and Manufacturing Engineering. The QHSE Manager role will include;

Quality

- Overseeing the company’s quality management systems in line with ISO 9001
- Monitoring, reporting on and driving improvement of the company’s performance against agreed quality KPI’s
- Handling customer and supplier quality issues
- Reviewing, developing and introducing standard operating procedures
- Overseeing training activities, attending meetings and making recommendations geared towards continual improvement

Health & Safety

- Review work areas, machines and processes to identify potential hazards and risks
- Develop and implement risk assessments to evaluate and control those risks ensuing that all areas have suitable risk assessments for their operations and activities
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring these are up to date, compliant and communicated effectively to employees
- Provide health and safety training to employees, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and how to work safely
- Promote a positive safety culture within the organization

Manufacturing

- Review the company’s manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure they are running as efficiently as possible, introducing process change where possible to increase efficiency and reduce running costs
- Develop new systems and processes, introduce new equipment, training staff as required
- Support new product development and introduction

The Candidate

The successful QHSE Manager will be an enthusiastic person with the ability to communicate with people at all levels both verbally and in writing. A positive outlook and ability to work as part of a team is essential as well as a thorough understanding of the principles and concepts of quality management, risk management and process control, as is the ability to prioritise.

The ideal QHSE Manager will ideally have experience in a similar industry or have existing transferable skills, allied to the desire and ability to forge a career within an SME business with a small but dedicated team. The essential qualities are;

- Experience in a similar role as a quality engineer or health and safety manager.
- Ability to work on own initiative with a good work ethic.
