Job summary

Catering is seeking a Group QHSE Manager to lead Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental standards across two manufacturing sites. The role covers developing QHSE systems, audits, incident investigations and sustainability initiatives within a UK manufacturing context.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, manage KPI reporting and work closely with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to embed a strong QHSE culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years QHSE in manufacturing
• NEBOSH General Certificate and Internal Auditor qualification
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety law and ISO 9001
• Experience leading audits and continuous improvement projects
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in furniture, woodworking, upholstery or timber manufacturing is advantageous
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or Lean/Six Sigma would be beneficial

Group QHSE Manager

Location: Melksham / Castlewood
Hours: 39 hours per week, MondayFriday

We are looking for an experienced Group QHSE Manager to lead Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental standards across our two manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QHSE management systems and ensure legal, regulatory and customer compliance.
• Manage and improve the Quality Management System, including ISO 9001, audits, corrective actions and customer complaints.
• Lead Health & Safety activities including risk assessments, incident investigations, training and contractor safety.
• Oversee environmental compliance, waste management, recycling, energy reduction and sustainability initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
• Monitor QHSE KPIs and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Coach and support managers and supervisors to promote a strong QHSE culture.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Senior Leadership teams.

About You

• Minimum 5 years QHSE, HSE or Quality Management experience within manufacturing.
• NEBOSH General Certificate and Internal Auditor qualification.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO 9001.
• Experience leading audits and continuous improvement projects.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within furniture, woodworking, upholstery or timber manufacturing would be advantageous.

Occasional travel between UK sites will be required.
