QEHS Manager

Derbyshire

£65,000 - £75,000 per annum + car allowance, 9% bonus

The Company

Our client is a leading contract engineering provider with a global presence, established over 150 years. Operating in 16 countries with over 30 locations, the business has a revenue of nearly £150 million and offers services across aerospace, automotive, building products, FMCG, warehouse automation, and more, serving major global brands.

In the UK, the company has experienced significant growth, with a £20M revenue increase over the last two years. They provide comprehensive engineering services from four UK locations, employing around 300 operatives and contractors.

The Role

The QEHS Manager will strategically oversee Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety standards across all UK projects, including factory relocations, machinery installation, removal, and moving. You will lead a team of three, ensuring compliance and standards are met. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a team of three, planning workloads to meet QEHS standards and regulations
  2. Developing process improvements and promoting learning within the UK business and QMS
  3. Building relationships with corporate and internal stakeholders to support business objectives
  4. Conducting proactive audits, sharing knowledge, and reporting to the UK Managing Director

The Candidate

To succeed, you should have:

  • Experience managing QEHS in contract engineering, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
  • People management experience, including direct reports and project contractors
  • A passion for building relationships and driving QEHS excellence, with adaptability to project needs
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK to project sites and client meetings
