Job description

Atlas Professionals are recruiting for a QHSE Manager for a marine client based in central Aberdeen. This will be a full time role, working Monday to Friday. Ideally candidates should have QHSE experience within the Marine Industry.


The main duties of the role will be:

  1. To provide advice and support for all aspects of Health & Safety related to the safe operation of company fleet.
  2. Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and review of the company's IMS for the fleet.
  3. Assessing accidents and hazardous occurrence reports relating to all office personnel and ships personnel, and carrying out investigations where required.
  4. Compiling a monthly summary of accidents and hazardous occurrence reports and safety statistics.
  5. Responsible for planning internal/external audits for the office and fleet vessels as well as assessing audit results and ensuring timely implementation of corrective/preventative action.
  6. Assessing feedback from fleet vessels and proposing improvements to the shore based safety committee.
  7. Chair QHSE meetings where required.
  8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with the company's HSE strategy alongside managing and identifying compliance training programmes for on and offshore staff.

Candidates should have a sound understanding of relevant ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), have a proven background in the maritime industry, ideally being certified to deck officer level and a NEBOSH or equivalent would also be preferred.
