Job description

Job Title: QHSE Manager

Atlas Professionals is recruiting for a QHSE Manager for a marine client based in central Aberdeen. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates should have QHSE experience within the Marine Industry.

Main duties of the role include:

  1. Providing advice and support on all aspects of Health & Safety related to the safe operation of the company fleet.
  2. Implementing, maintaining, and reviewing the company's IMS for the fleet.
  3. Assessing accidents and hazardous occurrence reports related to office and ship personnel, and conducting investigations as required.
  4. Compiling monthly summaries of accidents, hazardous reports, and safety statistics.
  5. Planning internal and external audits for the office and fleet vessels, assessing audit results, and ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  6. Assessing feedback from fleet vessels and proposing safety improvements to the shore-based safety committee.
  7. Chairing QHSE meetings when required.
  8. Driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company's HSE strategy and managing compliance training programs for on and offshore staff.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Sound understanding of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Proven experience in the maritime industry.
  • Certification to deck officer level is preferred.
  • A NEBOSH or equivalent qualification is also preferred.
