Job summary

Mitie is seeking a QHSE Manager to support Rock Power Connections and implement the Power and Grid QHSE strategy. You will provide practical QHSE leadership, ensure compliance with legal and company requirements, and drive continual improvement across high-risk construction, electrical and utility operations.

The role leads the RPC QHSE team, conducts site visits, delivers training and supports audits and incident investigations to promote a proactive safety, environmental and quality culture.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent required.
• Lead Auditor qualification for ISO standards preferred.
• Proven experience leading QHSE teams and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Drive RPC QHSE strategy, objectives and KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality regulations.
• Support integration of Mitie procedures and ISO management systems.
• Monitor performance, investigate incidents, report findings and provide guidance.
• Lead and develop RPC QHSE team, deliver training and site-visit leadership.

Hours: 40 Hours, Monday to Friday

You will provide practical QHSE leadership, ensure compliance with legal and company requirements, and drive continual improvement across high-risk construction, electrical and utility operations.

Role Responsibilities

• Drive the Rock Power Connections QHSE strategy, objectives and KPIs, supporting a proactive culture and continual improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation, company policies and safe systems of work.
• Support the integration of Mitie procedures and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including external audits.
• Monitor performance, investigate incidents, produce reports and provide QHSE guidance to operational leadership teams.
• Lead, support and develop the RPC QHSE team, deliver training and maintain visible QHSE leadership through regular site visits.

Required Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety and Environmental Management (or equivalent) and a Lead Auditor qualification for ISO standards.
• Proven experience managing QHSE teams, systems and KPIs, with a track record of driving continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of QHSE legislation, CDM regulations, temporary works and safe systems of work
• Full UK Driving License
