A leading Mechanical and Electrical engineering company is seeking a QHSE Coordinator to support the QHSE Manager and Project Managers. This role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, assisting with training, and promoting a safety culture across various projects. Ideal candidates will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and relevant qualifications in health and safety management.
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a QHSE Coordinator within a well-established Mechanical and Electrical engineering company, to provide administration and coordination support to the QHSE Manager and Project Managers regarding Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance activities across the business.

Essential
• Practical, flexible, and involved approach.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
• Highly motivated with a good attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy and ever-changing environment.
• Strong team orientation, but an ability to work independently where required.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• High level of IT skills with competency using Microsoft Office Packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook, along with Adobe PDF.
• Ability to prioritise, work to agreed deadlines.
• Able to develop opportunities for improvement and assist in implementing innovative solutions.
• Clean driving licence.
Desirable / An Advantage
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage whether that be in a QHSE / HSE role, an administration role, or both.
• Working knowledge of QHSE practices, general legislation, and regulatory requirements an advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Management Systems an advantage.
• Trained internal auditor for any of the above ISO Management Systems an advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of MOD Safe Systems of Work an advantage but not essential.
• Working knowledge of Citation Atlas system desirable but not essential.
