Job summary

Eden Scott is supporting a leading international energy services organisation with an Aberdeen-based operations team for a QHSE Advisor role.

You will support quality, health, safety and environmental activities across service, maintenance, refurbishment and aftermarket operations, working with management and field teams to drive compliance, continuous improvement and a strong QHSE culture across the business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a QHSES Advisor or similar role in energy services.
  • Experience with ISO 9001/14001/45001 and API Q2.
  • Ability to plan internal and external audits.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies such as 5 Why, 8D or TapRooT.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain integrated QHSES management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and customer requirements.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits; support external audits.
  • Manage non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Develop quality documentation and inspection plans.
  • Support risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Deliver QHSES training and inductions.
  • Monitor environmental performance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Support site security requirements and business resilience.

Job description

We are supporting a leading international energy services organisation with the appointment of a QHSE Advisor to join its Aberdeen-based operations team.

This is a varied and influential role supporting quality, health, safety, and environmental activities across service, maintenance, refurbishment and aftermarket operations. Working closely with management, workshop, engineering and operational teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement and promoting a strong QHSE culture throughout the business.

The position offers the opportunity to work within a global organisation supporting critical equipment and services across the energy sector, where quality, safety and operational excellence remain at the forefront of delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting and maintaining integrated QHSES management systems
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures, customer requirements and industry standards
  • Assisting with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and API Q2 compliance activities
  • Planning and conducting internal audits and supporting external audits
  • Managing non-conformances, investigations and corrective actions
  • Developing and maintaining quality documentation, inspection plans and procedures
  • Supporting risk assessments, incident investigations and behavioural safety initiatives
  • Delivering QHSES training, inductions and awareness sessions
  • Monitoring environmental performance and promoting sustainability initiatives
  • Supporting site security requirements and business resilience activities
You’ll ideally have:
  • Experience in a QHSES Advisor, Quality Advisor, HSEQ Advisor or similar role
  • Energy industry experience, particularly within service, engineering or maintenance environments
  • Lead Auditor qualification and management systems auditing experience
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Experience managing audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies such as 5 Why, 8D or TapRooT
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • SAP or ERP system experience would be advantageous
