Job Opportunity: QHSE Advisor at Hitachi Energy

Hitachi Energy High Voltage Service is hiring a QHSE Advisor to join our Staffordshire-based team, reporting to the QHSE Lead. The role aims to ensure consistent and seamless delivery of QHSE support.

As an experienced QHSE Advisor, you will be responsible for environmental and employee health & safety activities related to the environment and Hitachi Energy employees. This is a dynamic, fast-paced organization where no two days are the same. If you're looking for this challenge, we want to hear from you!

The Role
  1. Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments.
  2. Investigating accidents and environmental incidents, liaising with engineers, management, and regulatory authorities to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
  3. Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organizational and governmental standards related to environmental and employee health & safety.
  4. Maintaining relationships with the community, environmental groups, and stakeholders impacted by the organization’s environmental performance.
  5. Collaborating with the wider Hitachi Energy team.
Background & Qualifications
  • Relevant qualification in QHSE.
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures to prevent harm in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of investigating and reporting accidents.
  • Guidance on legal compliance related to QHSE matters.
  • Experience working with diverse teams to develop, manage, and monitor QHSE performance.
  • Familiarity with advising on all QHSE issues to ensure statutory, contractual, and industry compliance.
