Permanent, days-based role (Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week)

We are currently looking for a Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) Professional to join our UK QEHS function at Arla Foods.

How will you make an impact?

Reporting to the Head of UK Customer QEHS, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business to deliver Arla Foods’ QEHS strategies, standards, policies, processes, and customer requirements, while monitoring compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review and approval of specifications and artwork for own brand and private label.
  • Follow changes and interpret appropriate legislation, customer requirements, and industry standards to support the development and continuous improvement of the QEHS Management system.
  • Contribute to the business with specialist knowledge within the designated area of QEHS expertise.
  • Participate in QEHS-related projects.
  • Develop and implement systems of work necessary within the designated area of expertise to meet relevant QEHS requirements.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on QEHS information and data as required.
  • Develop plans to continuously improve QEHS performance across the business and support in problem-solving.
  • Provide relevant expert guidance to innovation/NPD and infrastructure projects across the whole supply chain to minimize QEHS risk to Arla.
  • Carry out internal and external audits (following relevant training).
  • Train colleagues across the business within the designated area of QEHS expertise.
  • Facilitate and develop organizational knowledge sharing and foster a shared culture of QEHS continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate well with customers and other external stakeholders regarding QEHS requirements, including incident management, complaint handling queries, audits, and improvements.

What will make you successful?

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in food science, technology, environment/sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in QEHS within a food manufacturing environment or food chain operation (production, distribution, sales).
