Job summary

Jobtailor in London is seeking a Senior Quality Engineering leader to own the unified test strategy across transformation programmes. You will establish quality gates, governance, and risk-based reporting for executives and delivery teams, across OutSystems, D365, Power Platform, and cloud platforms.

Job description

• Own the Unified Master Test Strategy, Quality Engineering standards, policies, and governance frameworks
• Establish quality gates, risk controls, and release governance across programmes and delivery portfolios
• Ensure traceability, auditability, and compliance throughout the software delivery lifecycle
• Provide independent quality assurance oversight across transformation and technology initiatives
• Review and challenge programme test strategies, coverage models, quality risks, and readiness assessments
• Lead quality health checks, assurance reviews, and governance forums
• Support executive Go/No-Go decisions through risk-based quality reporting and assurance recommendations
• Define portfolio-wide QE KPIs, dashboards, and reporting standards
• Govern measures including defect leakage, test effectiveness, automation coverage, release confidence, and production quality
• Deliver quality reporting and insights to senior stakeholders, programme leadership teams, and governance forums
• Govern testing practices across functional, integration, end-to-end, data, AI, and non-functional testing disciplines
• Ensure consistent defect management, root cause analysis, quality controls, and governance compliance
• Maintain alignment across Agile, Product-led, Hybrid, and traditional delivery models
• Own Quality Engineering strategy and governance across a diverse technology landscape
• Partner with Programme Leads, Product Managers, Architects, Delivery Managers, and Quality Leadership teams
• Govern supplier quality performance, testing obligations, and delivery assurance activities
• Drive adoption of Quality Engineering standards, governance frameworks, and best practices
• Drive quality maturity, standardisation, and governance improvements across the portfolio
• Establish reusable templates, frameworks, dashboards, and assurance artefacts
• Promote automation-first, continuous testing, and AI-enabled quality practices
• Support Quality Engineering Communities of Practice and Centres of Excellence

Requirements

• Proven experience governing large-scale transformation portfolios and complex programmes
• Strong understanding of Quality Engineering, automation-first, continuous testing, risk-based testing, governance, and release assurance
• Strong executive stakeholder management, supplier governance, and influencing skills
• Excellent communication, governance, and leadership capabilities
• Experience across diverse technology landscapes including OutSystems, D365, Power Platform, GCP Data & AI, and Azure API Platforms
• Technical awareness of TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Python, Pytest, SQL, Playwright, API testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and AI-assisted testing
• Experience operating within regulated, risk-sensitive environments
