QCF Assessor - Externally Funded
30 Hrs (4 days/week)
Temporarily Funded until 31st March 2027

We are looking to recruit a hardworking and resilient individual to join the Vocational Qualification Assessor Team. This team is part of the Cwm Taf Social Care Workforce Development Service based at Ty Elai, Williamstown and will be responsible for co-ordinating a programme of learning and assessment for a specified group of learners to achieve recognised qualifications. This will contribute to attaining Social Care Wales registration requirements or National Training targets and to assist in ongoing personal development.

You will be responsible for managing your workload to ensure a quality and robust service to learners who are looking to complete their vocational qualifications in Health and Social Care. You will also liaise with supervisors and managers to create a triangulated approach to assessment.

You will be joining an experienced and hard working team and good communication and teamworking skills are essential to this role.

Duties will include completing lesson plans for training and teaching sessions with learners in the health and social care sector, record keeping, completing assessments - including observations of practice against set criteria, attending regular meetings, and keeping your own continuous professional development up to date. This may include travelling to all areas of Cwm Taf.

To succeed in the role, you must be passionate, patient and committed to those you support, and the professional standards of the role of an assessor.

The successful applicant would hold a relevant vocational qualification in Adult social care services, as covered within the essential specification criteria listed in the Job Description.
