Job summary

SPT Labtech in Cambridge, UK, seeks a Quality professional to lead in-process and final quality checks on consumables, manage incoming stock and perform precise volumetric testing. You will develop test methods, collaborate across teams for RCA investigations, and track QC KPIs to drive improvements.

Experience in Quality, Engineering or Manufacturing environments, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel are essential. ISO 9001 knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing environments.
• Practical experience in volumetric testing or other precision measurement techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication across departments and with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-process and final quality checks on consumables and products ready for dispatch.
• Manage and inspect incoming stock from a quality perspective.
• Perform volumetric testing ensuring precision, repeatability and reliability.
• Develop and improve volumetric test methods and equipment.
• Collaborate with Production, Development, Manufacturing Engineering and QA Teams on RCA investigations using structured methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, 8D).
• Track and report global QC KPIs across sites and drive corrective actions.
• Introduce and document new testing and inspection techniques.
• Support continuous improvement projects and transitions of consumables to new markets.
• Check parts against specifications, drawings and COCs.
• Identify and manage all non-conforming products.
