About the Role

At LGC, we take pride in delivering high-quality products through rigorous quality control. As ourQC Team Leader, you will manage a team of three QC Chemists, ensuring all materials meet the highest standards. We are committed to continuous improvement, and in this role, you will play a key part in optimizing processes, enhancing reproducibility, and driving efficiencies.

This is a hands-on, lab-based position that combines analytical chemistry expertise with leadership and process improvement. You will ensure that our QC testing methods are accurate, reliable, and aligned with market needs while fostering a culture of perfection and collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support the QC team, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Drive aRight First Timeapproach by ensuring accurate and timely product testing, data recording, and analysis.
  • Maintain and enhance Quality Control Specifications (QCS) to reflect current testing standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve existing testing methods and develop new ones.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Oversee batch conformance reviews before submission to QA.
  • Investigate non-conformities, providing clear guidance and support.
  • Maintain and calibrate QC equipment to ensure accurate performance.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and technical advancements to drive innovation in QC processes.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering professional development and growth.

  • Strong background inanalytical chemistry, with knowledge of techniques such asHPLC, LCMS, NMR, TLC, RI, Karl Fischer, and potentiometric titration.
  • Experience in synthetic organic chemistry analysis.
  • Proven track record to manage projects and improve processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing others.
