We currently have an exciting opportunity for a QC Shift Analyst to join the Flavours Quality team, working a rotating 2-shift pattern (Monday to Thursday: 06:00 until 14:00 or 14:00 until 22:00, Fridays: 06:00 until 11:00 or 11:00 until 16:00).

The successful candidate will perform testing for all raw materials based on the specification and inspection plan developed for each product. They will also perform detailed chemical analysis of customer samples/non-conformances using laboratory equipment.

Job Requirements

As a QC Shift Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  1. Completing various analytical activities (raw material and finished product testing) to ensure analysis meets department KPIs. Laboratory processes can include: GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC, Karl Fisher Titration (KF), UV spectroscopy, Particle size analysis, Steam distillation, Fat extraction, Metrohm autotitrator operation, and pH determination.
  2. Ensuring laboratory equipment is maintained in good condition according to ISO17025 requirements, using statistical techniques where applicable.
  3. Maintaining updated and adequate working methods.
  4. Keeping QM (Quality Module) master data current, ensuring materials are tested against the latest IFF specifications and CofA’s are accessible.
  5. Performing detailed chemical investigations into internal and external non-conformances, including root cause analysis and establishing preventative measures.
  6. Detailing rework requirements for failures.
  7. Ensuring laboratory supplies are sufficient.
Required Experience
  • Prior laboratory and chemical analysis experience within the food or related industry.
Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field (chemistry, biology, food science, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP functionality and IFF customer profiles.
