Job summary

Lonza is seeking a motivated QC professional for its site-based QC Raw Materials team. You will deliver analytical and operational support ensuring GMP-compliant results within timelines and mentor junior colleagues to uphold high quality standards.

You will collaborate across the department to review data, lead deviations and CAPAs, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a safe, compliant manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in Life Sciences or related field.
• Experience in a QC laboratory and/or GMP manufacturing environment.
• Involvement in investigations, deviations, CAPAs and continuous improvement.
• Experience with chemical/biochemical testing and data reporting.
• Strong GMP knowledge and data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of raw material samples and document results in GMP-compliant records.
• Critically evaluate analytical data and raise issues to QC Management as needed.
• Review and approve data, records and results for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead quality system activities including Deviations, Change Controls and CAPAs.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance GMP compliance and lab efficiency.
• Manage changing priorities, communicate risks to timelines, and escalate delays.
• Support raw material disposition and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues and promote best practices in QC.
• Champion a culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
