Job Description:

Job Title: QC Raw Material Sampling Scientist – Global Biopharmaceutical

Contract: 6 months

Location: Slough

Salary: £19.50 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

This is a great opportunity for a graduate in Chemistry or a related degree seeking their next role in the industry. Candidates must have at least 6 months of industrial experience in a GMP setting.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Generation of sampling labels
  • Transfer of raw materials on GMP electronic systems
  • Transfer of raw material containers into sampling clean room environment
  • Opening and sampling of raw material containers following GMP procedures
  • Documentation of transfer and sampling in logbooks and GMP records
  • Returning raw material containers to their original stock locations
  • Transferring sampled raw materials to QC laboratory
  • Maintaining ambient raw material retention sample storage area
  • Assisting with disposal of raw material retention samples
  • Coordinating with Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Procurement to resolve issues
  • Ensuring calibration dates for room and equipment are maintained
  • Collaborating with engineering and validation teams for maintenance planning
  • Supervising cleaning and usage logbooks, ensuring they are well-maintained and signed
  • Raising EWRP (Electronic Work Request Process) paper or electronic systems
  • Testing samples and reporting results according to GMP procedures and standards
  • Leading or assisting with creation and completion of quality records such as Deviations, Change Controls, OOS/OOT, CAPAs

Candidate Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc Degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Practical experience in an industrial or academic setting is desirable
