Booth Welsh are recruiting a QC NDT Inspector for a renowned global manufacturing business.
As a key member of the Quality Control team, you'll carry out product and process inspections across purchased, manufactured, assembled, and serviced equipment at the Glasgow site. You'll play a vital part in upholding world-class quality standards like ISO 9001, EN ISO 9712 (PCN), ASME, and SNT-TC-1A.
- Inspect & Verify: Ensure components meet specs, drawings, and detailed instructions.
- Apply Expertise: Select and apply the right NDT methods and tools for the task.
- Maintain Compliance: Follow and enforce internal QMS, customer, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate & Support: Work closely with other teams to resolve product quality issues.
- Documentation: Produce accurate inspection and test reports (e.g., NDE, Hydrotest, inspection).
- Drive Improvements: Participate in initiatives to boost quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Promote Standards: Represent quality values when engaging with customers.
- Proven experience with NDT techniques (Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Visual, Radiography).
- EN ISO 9712 (PCN) Level 2 in at least three disciplines (see below).
- Comfortable working independently and proactively.
- Good communication, collaboration, and report-writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and personal integrity.
- Familiarity with SAP systems and computer literacy (advantageous).
- Willingness to travel when needed (e.g., to sister sites or vendor locations).
Certifications Required
You'll need to hold valid
EN9712 (PCN) Level 2 in a minimum of three of the following:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Visual Testing (VT)
- CSWIP 3.1 (Visual Testing)
This role is site based in Glasgow. Successful applicants will require full Right to Work in the UK.
