Job description

QC Lab Technician Position Overview

• Ensuring the timely completion of product testing in process and final analysis
• Preparing pre-shipment materials and ensuring accurate documentation
• Testing of incoming materials
• Carrying out project/development work as well as procedures relevant to equipment calibration
• Issuing accurate process adjustment instructions
• Identifying non-conforming material or process operations and arranging re-processing
• Authorising changes in product specifications, formulas, and manufacturing instructions
• Responding to non-conformance, corrective, and preventative actions

QC Lab Technician Position Requirements

• Ability to follow chemistry testing techniques
• BTEC / HNC in Chemistry or equivalent qualification
• Experience working in a busy, industrial lab setting
• Proficient in troubleshooting issues with lab equipment and processes
• Strong understanding of process-driven / COMAH industry sites (desirable)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards (desirable)
• Qualified in IOSH, First Aid, or Internal Auditor certifications
• Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Remuneration and Benefits

• £17.21 per hour
• Friday - Sunday, 06:00 - 18:00 (36 hours, 3 days a week)
• 28 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
