Job summary

A prominent inspection firm based in Lichfield is seeking a QA Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured products. Ideal candidates will have an engineering background and the ability to raise non-conformance reports. Knowledge of industry standards and metrology equipment is essential. This role offers an opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Proactive approach to learn new skills and further experience/knowledge of industry.
  • Knowledge of National and International material manufacturing standards, for example, ASME, ASTM, ISO, API and NORSOK.
  • Knowledge and awareness of manufacturing practices and associated standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured products.
  • Raise NCR's to identify product concerns or non-conformance.
  • Present at daily NDT/Inspection meetings to discuss QC concerns.

Job description

Duties

  • Perform FINAL visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured products in accordance with industry standards, for example; ASME B16.9.
  • Perform IN-PROCESS visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured products in accordance with industry standards, for example; ASME B16.9.
  • Input data into approved dimensional templates to determine product compliance.
  • Raise NCR's to identify product concerns or non-conformance.
  • Liaise with client and third party inspectors on witness final inspection activities.
  • Present at daily NDT/Inspection meetings to discuss QC concerns and findings and review the daily inspection requirements from the HSEQ Supervisor.
  • Maintain the calibration log for externally calibrated and internally calibrated equipment. 8. Carry out internal calibration of metrology equipment.
  • Support the day to day operations of the QA, technical and production departments.
  • Review of Specification data base for up-to-date revisions.
  • Measurement of sub-contracted products for compliance of final process activities.
  • Other duties as required by the HSEQ Management

Role Requirements
