RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Control Chemist supports both the Analytical and Bulk Quality Control laboratories, as required, with the timely testing and release of Raw materials and Bulk product. The two laboratories cover a range of QC techniques including titrations, GC, pH, water content, High-Performance and Ultra High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, colorant dispersions, viscosity, rheology, sensory assessment, and use of a spectrophotometer for shade evaluation. The QC Chemist will also support the Factory operation with resolution on Raw material and Bulk quality issues. All activities take place according to GMPs, GLPs, and Safe working practices.

Your main focus:

• Follow Analytical Methods: Testing materials and products against Research & Development specifications while maintaining high quality standards adhering to: Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, ISO 22716, and Hygiene Policies.
• Resolve Quality Issues: Addressing quality issues through cross-functional work.
• Prioritize Workload: Prioritizing workload and release within given lead-times according to laboratory, manufacturing, and production needs.
• Manage Inventory: Managing inventory according to standard operating processes, including handling block stock and expired materials.
• Ensure Good Relationships: Maintaining good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The team consists of a QC Chemist, Senior Chemist and Quality manager and you will work closely together with several departments such as warehouse, operations and planning. Your colleagues are dedicated team players with a strong work ethic and an analytical mindset. Our primary goal is to collaborate effectively to ensure the timely release of raw materials and bulk products, keeping the factory operations running smoothly.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

You like to work as a team and support in investigations within the quality function. As an experienced Quality Control Chemist you should have a passion for quality and get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:

• Have a Degree/Diploma in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, or relevant.
• Experience in related industry– Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, Production, Pharmaceutical, Paint, Food.
• Experience working in a laboratory and using analytical techniques.
• Troubleshooting skills (High-Performance and Ultra High-Performance Liquid Chromatography experience is an advantage).
• Open to a diverse workplace and loves to work in a team.
