Job summary

CPL Aromas is seeking a dedicated QC professional to join the Group Quality Control team. The role starts daytime 8.30am–5pm and will transition to night shift 10pm–6am toward the end of 2026.

You will smell and release materials and fragrance batches, record data in the QC system, and support production with material queries while ensuring accuracy and timely communication with customer services.

Qualifications

• Experience testing and working practices within the fragrance or flavour industry.
• Excellent sense of smell and pass the company smelling assessment test.
• Strong attention to detail and data recording accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure, in a team and individually.
• Good time management and flexibility for shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Smell and release raw materials, fragrance batches and laboratory batches after testing to specifications.
• Assist production with queries related to raw materials or production batches.
• Proactively retest batches and materials and record non-conformances.
• Enter data into the QC system accurately and maintain cleanliness.
• Release and maintain materials and batches in D365, liaise with Customer Services on delays.

Group Quality Control (QC) Manager

Job Purpose

This role starts with daytime hours 8.30am – 5pm and then transitions to night shift 10pm-6am towards end of 2026.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Smell and release raw materials, fragrance batches and laboratory batches after testing to specifications.
• Assist production with any queries relating to raw material or production batches.
• Proactive retesting of all batches and materials due
• Problem solving and issue of clear rework instructions.
• Accurately reading and entering all data onto QC SYSTEM with due regard for specification
• Record all non-conformances, reworking sand blending where possible.
• Obtain specifications from suppliers for raw materials and enter onto database.
• Keep QC SYSTEM updated and clean.
• Release and maintenance of materials and batches in D365
• Liaise with Customer services in the event of delays to batches.
• Keep workspace clean and tidy

Skills And Attributes Required

• Excellent sense of smell and pass the Company smelling assessment test with a pass mark of >16
• Previous experience of testing and working practices within the fragrance or flavour industry
• Excellent eye for detail
• The ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, in a team and as an individual.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• The ability to accurately record all data.
• Good time Management, flexibility required to cover any shift at short notice
• Good communication ability at all levels
