Job description

Bio-Techne is a world-leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality biological reagents, seeking a QC Analyst to join their growing QC department in Bristol. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working on QC analysis for Tocris (a Bio-Techne Brand), testing products from complex syntheses of biologically active library compounds and custom synthesis for research and external clients.

Requirements:

• Degree in chemistry or related science
• At least 1 year of QC experience (GMP experience advantageous), 3+ years preferred
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry
• Strong productivity and communication skills
• Decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Practical skills and data interpretation
• Teamwork and IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
• Responsible and safe laboratory practices

Responsibilities:

• Work safely, following COSHH regulations, maintaining cleanliness
• Learn and perform QC and analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, FT-IR, UV/Vis, etc.)
• Develop and validate methods as needed
• Write and update SOPs, test methods, and specifications
• Calibrate lab equipment
• Manage reagents and consumables
• Maximize productivity, meet deadlines, minimize errors
• Maintain high standards in practical work and documentation, adhering to GMP standards
