QC Analyst

Bio-Techne is a world-leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality biological reagents and is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to join their growing team in Bristol.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant and dynamic team of Analysts working on QC analysis for Tocris (a Bio-Techne Brand), testing products of complex syntheses of biologically active library compounds and novel custom synthesis work for both internal research initiatives and external clients.

Responsibilities include performing QC tests and second person checking of work, utilizing techniques such as: HPLC, GC, SFC, MS, NMR, FT-IR, UV/Vis, Fluorescence, Melting point, Karl Fischer, Optical Rotation, and Solubility.

You will work within and promote safe working practices, abide by COSHH regulations, and maintain a high level of tidiness.

Experience and Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or a related science
• QC experience of 3+ years is desirable (GMP experience advantageous)
• Detailed knowledge of analytical chemistry, especially HPLC and other chromatographic techniques
• Practical ability and data interpretation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Safe working manner in laboratory settings
