Job Description:

We are seeking a Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor in South Yorkshire to join our client's growing Commercial Team. Specializing in Roads and Sewers, Drainage, Foundations, Landscaping, and External Works, this role is ideal for candidates looking to develop a career in Quantity Surveying.

You will work alongside experienced Surveyors and Managers, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Visiting sites throughout the region
2. Re-measuring all site works
3. Obtaining site instructions for additional works
4. Sub-contractor procurement
5. Controlling and administering sub-Contract accounts
6. Shadowing duties of the QS
7. Reporting on site progress efficiently
8. Liaising with Contracts Management on cost control and financial matters
9. Ensuring instructions and variations are obtained and properly valued
10. Pricing variations and dayworks
11. Using Microsoft Office packages
