Job summary

Experis UK seeks an experienced QAD Solution Engineer to support a critical QAD ERP environment. This hands-on role involves developing and customizing QAD solutions, maintaining databases, and ensuring SAP integrations run smoothly.

You will work with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions and provide Level 2/3 support, SQL development, reporting, testing, and documentation. 3+ years in QAD ERP is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with QAD ERP.
• Strong programming with Progress 4GL/ABL.
• Experience supporting Progress OpenEdge databases.
• Strong SQL development with Oracle/SQL Server.
• Experience troubleshooting ERP applications.
• Knowledge of QAD Manufacturing, Distribution, or Finance modules.
• Experience writing reports, queries, and data extracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customise QAD ERP applications using Progress 4GL/ABL.
• Maintain and support Progress OpenEdge and SQL databases.
• Support and troubleshoot integrations between QAD and SAP systems.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for application issues, defects, and data discrepancies.
• Write and optimise SQL queries, scripts, views, and reports.
• Support system testing, UAT activities, upgrades, and deployments.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and database schemas.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and SAP teams to resolve challenges.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced QAD Solution Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of a critical QAD ERP environment.

This is a hands‑on technical role where you'll develop and customise QAD solutions, maintain databases, support integrations with SAP, and provide 2nd/3rd line application support. Working closely with business and technical teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring the platform remains reliable, scalable, and aligned to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customise QAD ERP applications using Progress 4GL/ABL.
• Maintain and support Progress OpenEdge and SQL databases.
• Support and troubleshoot integrations between QAD and SAP systems.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for application issues, defects, and data discrepancies.
• Write and optimise SQL queries, scripts, views, and reports.
• Support system testing, UAT activities, upgrades, and deployments.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience integrating QAD with SAP.
