Job summary

MRP Global seeks a QAD Solution Engineer for a UK-based, 14 month contract to develop and customize QAD applications using Progress 4GL/ABL. You will maintain Progress OpenEdge and SQL databases, troubleshoot integrations, and provide Level 2/3 technical support across data issues.

You will also create SQL queries, reports, and data extracts, participate in testing, upgrades and deployments, and produce detailed technical documentation for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

3–6 years of technical QAD ERP experience.
Strong Progress 4GL/ABL and OpenEdge database experience.
Good SQL and relational database knowledge (MS SQL/Oracle).
Understanding of SAP integrations and common integration methods.
Experience with QAD reporting tools, Cyberquery, Excel, or SQL-based reporting.

Responsibilities

Develop and customise QAD applications using Progress 4GL/ABL.
Maintain and query Progress OpenEdge and SQL databases.
Support and troubleshoot system integrations and data interfaces.
Provide Level 2/3 technical support and resolve application and data issues.
Develop SQL queries, reports, and data extracts.
Support testing, UAT, upgrades, patches, and deployments.
Produce technical documentation and work with technical/business teams to resolve issues.
