QA - Test Lead - Playwright and Typescript - London City (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the QA team to deliver high-quality software across multiple products.
- Ensure Test Approach is properly updated in Jira stories.
- Prepare testing scenarios covering all edge cases and critical paths.
- Refine acceptance criteria from a testing perspective during sprint planning.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in testing skills.
- Participate in sprint testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date Regression Pack for ongoing testing of critical functionalities.
- Oversee API and UI automation using tools like Playwright, C#, and ReadyAPI.
- Maintain heat maps and ensure visibility of quality metrics and coverage.
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to align and document test scenarios and requirements.
- Support data preparation for testing environments.
- Continuously improve automation and manual testing processes with latest tools and techniques.
- Contribute to defining test policy and procedures with QA architect.
- Compile test result data for release readiness reports.
- Define and track metrics to measure QA team performance and effectiveness.
Key Competencies and Skills
- 8+ years in quality assurance, with manual and automated testing experience.
- Expertise in Playwright for UI testing and C# for API testing.
- Experience maintaining automated regression packs and sprint testing.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking systems (JIRA).
- Experience with test management tools like QMetery.
- Effective collaboration skills with BAs and developers.
- Hands-on in scenario and data preparation for testing.
- Proven ability to design and execute comprehensive test cases.
- Ability to update Test Approach in Jira stories and project requirements.
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into DevOps.
- Familiarity with advanced testing frameworks and new testing tools.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Ability to switch between multiple products and tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
- Knowledge of financial trading environments is a plus but not required.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
