QA/Test Analyst

Rate & Engagement: Inside IR35 - to £350 per day

Duration: 3-month initial duration with highly probable extension

Location: Birmingham, 3 days per week expectation

Our industry leading client is looking to engage an experienced and skilled QA/Test Analyst as they take on their biggest project of this year. Working with the Head of QA for the finance element of their application you will aid a large scale project that involves rebuilding elements of the application and integrating into their SAP back-end. This is a heavily technical, hands-on role that requires a strong communicator to help them to deliver a whole host of new features to the core application. We're looking for someone to add real value in a short space of time and there's an opportunity for a longer-term engagement with numerous key initiatives about to kick off over the next 3-6 months.

What do we need?

• The ability to understand and analyse technical documentation and have an awareness of quality requirements for software development projects
• Perform manual testing for a range of software products
• Translate functional requirements and specifications into detailed test cases
• Ability to write your own test plans and reports
• Document test strategy and approach
• Execute test cases and analyse results
• Reporting, logging, tracking and managing defects in Azure Dev Ops
• Running daily triages during test execution phase
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Key Skills:

• A history of manual testing experience (systems, integration, regression, etc) including experience as a senior/lead tester
• Experience in handling multiple projecttest cycles at one time
• Any previous experience testing payroll/finance software would be advantageous, as would any experience testing on SAP applications
