Key aspects of the QA Supervisor role include:

  • Supervision and day-to-day organisation of the QA team, development and training of all departmental staff as part of continual improvement on systems and resources. Ensure communication is maintained within the QA department by chairing daily hand-over meetings and structured individual monthly assessments to monitor improvements.
  • Ensure systems of traceability are correctly operated at each stage of manufacture. Validate traceability by conducting scheduled traceability studies, including annual recall traceability and mass balance exercises.
  • Perform process audits for all new product launches to ensure products meet specifications, and machinery controlling CCPs & weight control are programmed correctly. Validate all QAS documents before handing over to the factory.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Experience in food manufacturing is essential, ideally within chilled foods, ready meals, soups, sauces, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience is necessary.
