Our Quality Assurance department is the heart of our operation, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practices. We are expanding and seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor.
As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Deputise for the Quality Manager as required.
- Follow, promote, and ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Control and maintain Pharmaceutical Quality Systems.
- Write, review, and approve quality documents (e.g., deviations, change requests, CAPA, procedural documents).
- Support all departments with quality activities such as raising and executing quality documents, handling complaints, and managing master batch records.
- Approve and periodically review vendors, including supply chain identification and creation of quality agreements.
- Lead, participate in, and review investigations, Root Cause Analysis, and Quality Risk Management.
- Lead and support internal and vendor audits.
- Assist with preparation and execution of regulatory and customer audits.
- Assist in regulatory agency inspections as a SME.
- Ensure regulatory changes are assessed for their impact.
- Monitor and investigate trends in Quality metrics and report to the Head of Quality.
- Produce data and reports on performance against KPIs.
- Lead and mentor direct reports through regular 1:1s.
- Undertake project work as part of a multifunctional team.
- Identify training needs, provide training tools, and deliver training.
- Build relationships with all QPL departments and companies throughout the Target Group for continuous compliance.
- Support the business operation by assisting other departments as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Ability to operate autonomously and make decisions.
- Management qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and GDP.
- Confident dealing with managers and employees at all levels.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry is advantageous.
- English and Mathematics GCSE grades A-C or equivalent.
- Highly computer literate, experienced with Microsoft Office.
