Who We Are Looking For...

We're seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Technician with a knack for analytical thinking and troubleshooting, as well as a strong background in testing and validation of scientific instruments, electronics, or complex systems.

A relevant manufacturing or engineering degree is desirable but not essential. Acceptable qualifications include A Levels, ONC, City & Guilds Level 3, BTEC National Diploma Level 3 or 4, or an equivalent NVQ Level 3 qualification. Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of quality management systems and standards are expected, while familiarity with elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, or related fields is a plus.

Your role will involve diligently following test protocols to ensure the flawless functionality of our instruments. You will rigorously test hardware and software components across various conditions, collaborating with others to troubleshoot and perfect these systems. Your careful testing and record-keeping will be essential for improving products and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follow test protocols, procedures, and scripts to systematically evaluate instrument functionality, accuracy, precision, and reliability demonstrating a passion for quality and excellence.
  • Identify, isolate, and report defects or anomalies, working closely with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, showing ownership and commitment to resolving problems effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, defects, and troubleshooting processes being proactive in identifying patterns and potential areas of improvement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing testing processes, methodologies, and automation with a growth mindset by continuously seeking ways to improve.
