Job description

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support major projects across the nuclear and energy sectors, including both project and maintenance scopes. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in quality assurance on complex, safety-critical engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and supporting QA documentation
  • Provide technical quality support across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation (ME&I) disciplines
  • Coordinate with Welding Engineers, Project Engineers, and suppliers to meet QA requirements
  • Oversee compliance with welding, fabrication, NDT, and material certification standards
  • Liaise with 3rd party inspectors and manage the inspection function
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, internal/external audits, and performance tracking against KPIs
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained within the Company's Combined Management System (CMS)

Experience & Skills Required

  • Solid background in engineering and QA/QC
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems, KPI tracking, and supplier documentation reviews
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, and NDT techniques
  • Ability to interpret isometric drawings and pipe specifications
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills

Essential Qualifications

  • CSWIP Level 3.2 - Senior Welding Inspector
  • PCN Level 2 - Radiographic Interpretation
  • Recognised Internal Auditor Qualification

Desirable

  • ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
