Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers. Now with 22 sites nationwide, Cranswick are dedicated to growing and developing our team.

Our Preston site is growing! We are on the look out for a QA Operative to become an integral part of our team! You would be responsible for carrying out all relevant checks, maintaining technical standards, in line with legislation and customer requirements within the factory.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Conducting label / process control audits every 1-2 hours to ensure records are being completed correctly and at the right times as well as raising and issues at the time
  • Conducting temperature verification checks (including sterilisers, hand washing stations, product, environmental).
  • Ensure collection of chemical, microbiological and organoleptic samples in line with current schedules
  • Conducting calibration checks and record the results
  • Conducting pre-operational hygiene inspections and report any failings immediately
  • Conducting GMP audits and fabrication to ensure any corrective actions required are communicated
  • Conducting CCP verification relevant to the area being worked in and report any Non-Conformances
  • Ensure closure of any non-conformances raised and proactive prevention of repetition
  • Quality attribute assessments on finished product to the defined attributes and a specified frequency.
  • Completing raw material intake checks to ensure all product adheres to the specification.

You will have:

  • Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (advantageous).
