Job summary

SRG in Stirling, UK, seeks an experienced QA Officer to own quality activities across new products, campaigns and change projects within a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment.

You will review critical documentation, support investigations and audits, and collaborate with Production, QC and R&D to maintain product quality, regulatory compliance and patient safety.

Key responsibilities include deviations handling, CAPA, change controls and ensuring timely QA sign-offs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a degree in a relevant scientific discipline and substantial QA experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong knowledge of GMP/GxP requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Experience with QMS and controlled documentation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve manufacturing batch records, packaging records, laboratory data and process instructions.
• Act as QA representative for new products, campaigns and change projects.
• Manage and support deviations, non-conformances, investigations and CAPA.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Participate in change controls, risk assessments, validation activities and product quality reviews.
• Support internal audits, customer audits and regulatory inspection readiness.
• Maintain QMS documentation, including SOPs, protocols, reports and quality records.
• Support material and product disposition activities.
• Collaborate with Production, QC, R&D and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Prepare quality trend reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional looking to develop your career within a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment?

We are recruiting for a QA Officer to join an established pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of quality activities across new products, manufacturing campaigns and change projects, while helping to maintain high standards of product quality, regulatory compliance and patient safety.

The Role

As QA Officer, you will act as the Quality Assurance representative for key projects and manufacturing activities. You will review critical documentation, support investigations and audits, and work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve potential GMP/GxP compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve manufacturing batch records, packaging records, laboratory data and process instructions.
• Act as the QA representative for new products, manufacturing campaigns and change projects.
• Manage and support deviations, non-conformances, investigations and out-of-specification results.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in change controls, risk assessments, validation activities and product quality reviews.
• Support internal audits, customer audits and regulatory inspection readiness.
• Maintain Quality Management System documentation, including SOPs, protocols, reports and quality records.
• Support material and product disposition activities.
• Work collaboratively with Production, QC, R&D and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
• Prepare quality trend reports and clearly communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

About You

• Degree qualified in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Previous Quality Assurance experience within the pharmaceutical industry or another closely regulated environment.
• Strong working knowledge of GMP/GxP requirements.
• Knowledge of MHRA and FDA regulatory requirements would be advantageous.
• Experience working with Quality Management Systems and controlled documentation.
• Practical experience supporting batch record review, deviations, investigations, CAPA and change controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Confident written and verbal communicator who can explain complex quality matters clearly.
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team.
