Overview
DXC / Luxoft Modernization Practice is driving large-scale legacy transformation programs — re-platforming critical enterprise systems to modern architectures and cloud-native ecosystems. We are seeking a QA Manager / Practice Lead to oversee both pre-sales quality strategy and delivery assurance across modernization initiatives. The role combines solution leadership, client engagement, and hands-on governance of distributed QA streams.
Responsibilities
- Strategic QA Leadership — Define modernization-aligned QA frameworks, automation strategies, and quality gates for transformation programs.
- Pre-sales collaboration — Partner with Solution Architects and Delivery Leads during pre-sales to shape QA scope, estimates, and differentiators in proposals and RFPs.
- QA solution ownership — Act as QA solution owner across client engagements, ensuring testing approaches are risk-based, scalable, and automation-first.
- Continuous testing and analytics — Drive adoption of continuous testing, shift-left QA, and AI-assisted quality analytics across modernization streams.
- Executive governance — Represent the QA function in executive discussions, client governance boards, and internal modernization councils.
- Delivery management — Lead multi-project QA delivery spanning applications, data, APIs, and cloud migration.
- Team leadership — Manage distributed QA teams, ensuring quality consistency, knowledge sharing, and reuse of automation assets.
- Test strategy for modernization — Oversee the definition and implementation of modernization-specific test strategies (e.g., regression packs for refactored code, API-first validation, migration verification).
- Quality metrics — Define and track quality KPIs across modernization pipelines: defect density, automation coverage, velocity, and release readiness.
- Quality visibility — Establish quality dashboards and continuous improvement loops integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Practice & pre-sales enablement — Support RFP/RFI responses, client workshops, and proposal reviews with tailored QA strategy input.
- Accelerators — Build standardized QA accelerators for modernization engagements (framework templates, reusable test libraries, metrics dashboards).
- Tooling & AI accelerators — Evaluate and onboard modern QA tools and AI-powered accelerators (test generation, anomaly detection, quality prediction).
- Mentorship & governance — Mentor QA leads, develop internal playbooks, and establish delivery governance frameworks for modernization quality.
Must Have
- 8+ years in Quality Assurance, with at least 3+ years in a QA Leadership or Practice Lead role.
- Proven track record of leading QA for large-scale modernization, migration, or re-platforming programs.
- Expertise in automation frameworks (Java, Python, Golang, or equivalent) and CI/CD integration (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.).
- Solid understanding of test architecture, data migration validation, and system integration testing.
- Familiarity with modernization patterns (Strangler Fig, replatforming, re-hosting, containerization).
- Experience leading distributed, multi-vendor teams and managing client stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen — able to support pre-sales, estimation, and deal solutioning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive presence.
Nice to Have
- Experience using GenAI / AI tools for automated test generation and predictive defect analytics.
- Knowledge of CAST, Tricentis, Testim, or similar modernization testing ecosystems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized test environments.
