Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods is seeking a QA Manager at our site in Thetford. The role leads the site QA team, upholds BRC standards and strengthens food safety, legality and quality across the factory.

You will drive continuous improvement through data trends, support audits and customer visits, and communicate effectively with all levels of the business. A Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Directly leading the site-based QA team to provide clear direction across the technical team.
• Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System to support high standards.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, legality and quality under BRC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site QA team to deliver strong leadership across departments.
• Support the Factory Technical Manager with visit reports and timely closing of corrective actions.
• Provide effective data trends on quality to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee HACCP, food safety and quality across the factory and audits.
• Lead customer visits and audits and build strong inter-department relationships.

Job requirements of QA Manager

• Directly managing the site based Q.A. team, ensuring strong leadership and direction is provided to achieve and maintain a single vision for the technical team in all departments
• Support the Factory Technical Manager in ensuring visit reports are completed, and corrective actions closed in a timely manner
• Providing production teams with effective trending of key data such as quality assessments to support continuous improvement
• Working to BRC standards, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of food safety, legality and quality throughout the factory; maintaining and developing the existing Quality Management System to support our high quality standards.
• Being actively involved in both ‘factory floor’ and technical systems, including HACCP, the successful candidate will be confident in leading customer visits and audits and be able to build strong working relationships.
• Ideally you will hold Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP certification and be able to communicate clearly and coherently at all levels of the business.
• Drive the sites quality objectives to maintain customer standards.
