Introduction

Our client, a well-established mechanical engineering organization, is seeking a Quality Manager to join their team. As a leading provider of project services in industries such as Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Pharmaceutical, our client takes pride in delivering high-end solutions with a strong emphasis on safety and quality assurance. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Job Requirements
  • Significant experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance
  • Sound engineering background in the Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas, or similar industry
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards, including, but not limited to, ASME VIII, PD5500, ASME U & R stamp, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, PED requirements, CE, UKCA marking, and welding standards such as ASME IX and BS 15614
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong mathematical and numerical competency
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary contact for all Quality Assurance matters within the company
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards throughout the manufacturing process
  • Create technical files and implement Inspection Test Plans
  • Manage internal and supplier quality audits and reviews
  • Liaise with operational engineering and procurement functions to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain company standards and accreditations, such as P.E.D, CE, UKCA, ASME U & R
  • Provide technical input on design, materials, and welding related to industry codes and standards
  • Lead investigations and implement remedial actions for quality failures, if necessary
